SHRN Data Dashboard (local authority)

A collaboration between SHRN and Public Health Wales means aggregate SHRN Student Health and Wellbeing (SHW) data is now publicly available at local authority level for the first time. Developed by Public Health Wales analysts, this dashboard currently presents SHRN SHW data for 2017, 2019 and 2021 across all 22 Welsh local authorities broken down by year and gender. The Public Health Wales SHRN Data Dashboard includes the same health and wellbeing indicators provided to schools, making it possible to compare your school with national and local benchmarks.

Welsh Network of Health and Well-being Promoting Schools

The Welsh Network of Health and Well-being Promoting Schools (WNHWPS), previously called the Welsh Network of Healthy Schools Scheme (WNHSS) is a national programme which supports schools to embed and sustain a whole-school approach to health and well-being.

WNHWPS provides support to schools to help embed a whole school approach to health and well-being, including a whole school approach to emotional and mental well-being. Local teams provide direct support to schools, individually and via cluster working, to identify their priorities and develop plans for action, guided by national criteria for embedding a whole school approach and other resources to guide and support effective practice.

The WNHWPS works in close partnership with the School Health Research Network, supporting schools to participate in SHRN and maximize their use of data, knowledge and research in responding to the needs of their school community.

Please contact you local Health and Well-being Promoting Schools teams directly to discuss how they can support your school or email healthy.schools@wales.nhs.uk providing your school name and local authority area.
